Loopearn ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Loopearn mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

a) Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, phone number, email address, username, and profile photo. You may optionally provide your date of birth and gender.

b) Location Data

With your permission, we collect your device's GPS location to show you nearby deals, merchants, and location-based rewards. You can disable location access at any time through your device settings.

c) Contacts

With your permission, we access your device contacts to help you find friends on Loopearn. Phone numbers are hashed before being sent to our servers and are not stored in plain text.

d) User-Generated Content

When you participate in UGC campaigns, we collect the photos, videos, and content you submit. We also collect publicly available engagement metrics (views, likes) from your connected social media accounts to verify campaign participation.

e) Social Media Profiles

If you connect social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X/Twitter, or others), we collect your profile information and publicly available engagement data to facilitate social campaigns and verify actions.

f) Payment Information

To process reward payouts, we collect your UPI ID and maintain a record of your transaction history. Payment processing is handled by our third-party payment provider, Cashfree. We do not store your full bank account or card details.

g) Device Information

We automatically collect device identifiers, app version, operating system, and crash/error logs to improve app performance and fix issues.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain our Service, including rewards, campaigns, and cashback programs
  • To show you nearby deals and merchants based on your location
  • To match you with friends using hashed contact information
  • To track and verify UGC campaign participation and engagement metrics
  • To process payments and reward payouts via UPI
  • To send you notifications about rewards, campaigns, and account activity
  • To detect fraud, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service
  • To improve our Service through analytics and error tracking

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:

  • Cashfree — Payment processing and UPI payouts
  • Google Maps & Places — Location services, map display, and address search
  • Apify — Collecting publicly available social media engagement metrics for UGC campaign verification
  • Sentry — Error tracking and crash reporting to improve app stability
  • AI Services (Anthropic, Google, OpenAI) — Powering in-app features such as concierge assistance

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data. We encourage you to review their policies.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data in the following circumstances:

  • With Merchants: When you participate in a merchant's campaign, the merchant can see your engagement and reward claim status.
  • Payment Processors: Your payment information is shared with Cashfree to process transactions.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encrypted on-device storage for authentication tokens
  • Hashing of phone numbers before storage for contact matching
  • OTP-based authentication for account security
  • Secure HTTPS connections for all data transmission

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Withdraw consent for location, contacts, or other permissions at any time
